Yep, I have a guestbook now! Not sure if anyone's reading this blog other than my friends and fellow artist webmasters Asshuka and Antanaga (love you guys btw), but if you are, feel free to leave something in the guestbook! And you don't need to sign up for anything or even leave your email! (unless I run into a spam problem and decide to lock things down later)
Ever since I got this blog working, I've been playing around with other experimental features on my site. I created a miscellaneous page so that I could test things without breaking other pages on my site. Currently I'm playing around with repeating backgrounds (featuring a little pixel cartoon cat hastily drawn by me) and responsive images. The goal is to have differently-sized images for different devices so that they look nice on desktop but also don't chew up a lot of mobile data. The most difficult part of this though is that phones today are huge and have similar resolutions to some desktop computers, so stuff that's intended for desktop may end up showing up on some very large phones anyway. I've been testing on my desktop (a secondhand 4K monitor, which is really too big for me!) and my iPhone SE 2022 (which I can only just operate with one hand at the best of times). I'm sure I'll figure this out somehow!
What I really should be doing, though, is getting ready for NamiiCon, an event in Toowoomba that I'll be tabling at. I need to count my stock, recalibrate my cutting machine and adjust my table display....among other things. Oh boy!
